The Middle Ages return to Castello

The Passaggio Medievale di Lierna is the historical reenactment of the Municipality of Lierna (Province of Lecco), set in the village of Castello, the ancient fortified nucleus that juts out onto the Lecco branch of Lake Como. The stone alleys and medieval houses of the village offer a natural and authentic setting to bring the atmospheres of the past back to life.

Costumed participants, crafts, and atmospheres

For one evening, the village is populated by costumed participants, encampments, scenes of medieval life, and ancient crafts, in a journey that involves visitors through sounds, lights, and period settings. The event enhances Lierna's historical heritage and the unique charm of the fortified village on the lake, in one of the most fascinating locations on Lake Como.

The twentieth anniversary

The 2026 edition marks the twentieth anniversary of the Passaggio Medievale, a milestone that testifies to the event's deep roots in the life of the town. Organized by the Pro Loco of Lierna (local tourism association), the reenactment has become an eagerly awaited summer event over the years, capable of combining culture, entertainment, and local heritage promotion in a single lakeside medieval evening.
