The temple of cycling

The Museo del Ciclismo Madonna del Ghisallo is located in Magreglio (Province of Como), next to the sanctuary of the Madonna del Ghisallo, the patron saint of cyclists. Overlooking the pass that dominates Lake Como, it is a place of worship for bike lovers, housing jerseys, bicycles, and memorabilia that tell over a century of Italian and international cycling history.

Twenty years of history

Founded in 2006 by the champion Fiorenzo Magni, the museum celebrates its twentieth anniversary in 2026. For the occasion, it presents 'Ghisallo 20', a temporary exhibition and collection that progressively lights up twenty symbolic bicycles, ideally twenty candles illuminating the exhibition path during the celebratory year.

A season of events

The anniversary is not limited to the exhibition: the museum accompanies 2026 with a packed calendar. Book presentations (including works by Beppe Conti and the biography by Agostino Omini), wine masterclasses with podium-worthy wines, concerts, the Polisportiva Trophy with its literary race, and meetings with champions like paracyclist Roberta Amadeo. Thematic exhibitions dedicated to legendary mountains and great champions complete the program.

A pilgrimage site

Reaching the Ghisallo by bicycle has always been a ritual for cyclists worldwide. The climb, made famous by the Giro di Lombardia, leads to a breathtaking viewpoint and a museum that, in its twentieth year, confirms Magreglio's role as the symbolic capital of two wheels.
