Parioli Punk: the creative soul invading Parioli

Some neighborhoods seem made to be shaken up. Parioli Punk was born from this exact spark: taking Parioli—the elegant, orderly residential district in the heart of northern Rome—and filling it for a weekend with art, music, and unconventional content. The festival is the spring spin-off of ROMADIFFUSA, a project created by the creative agency Bla Studio (Maddalena Salerno and Sara D'Agati) that explores a different side of contemporary Rome through its neighborhoods every year.

A hotel turned festival

The beating heart of the event is The Hoxton, Rome, the hotel on Largo Benedetto Marcello housed in a 1970s building reimagined with a lifestyle twist. For three days, 24/7, from the lounge to the veranda and even the bedrooms, the hotel transforms into an immersive environment for artistic and musical experimentation. Rooms become galleries, the lobby fills with DJ sets and performances, while the festival's energy spills outside, permeating the streets and gardens of Parioli and the nearby Pinciano area.

Art, music, and cross-pollination

Parioli Punk is multidisciplinary by definition. The program weaves together concerts and live acts, DJ sets, site-specific installations, video art, exhibitions, independent publishing and design markets, workshops, and themed walks. Its philosophy is one of grafting and contrast: bringing the youngest, most experimental creative scene into a context traditionally perceived as conformist, playing with the irony already embedded in its name.
