The two-wheel season reopens

Every early summer, the Corno alle Scale Bike Area in Vidiciatico, a hamlet of the Municipality of Lizzano in Belvedere in the Province of Bologna, officially launches the new season with the Opening Bike Area. It's the time when the trails of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines are once again populated by mountain bikes, featuring technical descents, single tracks, and panoramas stretching from Monte Pizzo to the ridge of Corno alle Scale.

Two days to try the trails

The event, organized by A.S.D. Corno alle Scale Bike in collaboration with the Municipality and with the support of the Senators Enduro Cup staff, is designed as a collective test weekend. Guided social rides allow participants to tackle the trails in groups, accompanied by expert riders who know every turn: a perfect opportunity for those who want to get familiar with the area before tackling it on their own.

Not just for experts

The opening also has an educational and family-friendly side. The introductory MTB course for kids introduces the younger ones to the world of cycling safely, while the video presentation at Cinema La Pergola in Vidiciatico showcases the bike area's trail network to everyone, covering enduro, freeride, and routes suitable for both muscle-powered and electric e-bikes.

The bike community's celebration

Saturday evening is the convivial heart of the event: the bike trial show demonstrates the more acrobatic and spectacular side of two wheels, accompanied by an aperitif and DJ set. All around, the partner restaurants in the village welcome bikers and their companions with themed lunches and dinners, turning the weekend into a true celebration of the Apennine community.
