Among the events that light up the summer in Valchiavenna, the Notte Bianca di Chiavenna is probably the most anticipated. For two evenings, the historic center of the village, in the province of Sondrio, comes alive from late afternoon until the early hours of the morning with a widespread program of music and shows.
A widespread stage
The event involves squares and streets in the center — Pratogiano, via Dolzino, via Bossi, piazza Bertacchi, piazza Crollalanza, piazza Ploncher, piazza Pestalozzi, piazza Persenico and the areas of Santa Maria and Santa Rosalia — with stages, music stations, and entertainment corners. Each area offers something different: live concerts, DJ sets, entertainment, shows, while shops and venues remain open late.

The Notte Bianca is a popular festival that unites merchants, associations, and residents, capable of transforming Chiavenna into a great summer meeting place. Over the years, it has become an identity-defining event for Valchiavenna, attracting visitors from the valley's towns and nearby tourist resorts.

The 14th edition of the Notte Bianca di Chiavenna is scheduled for Friday, July 17, and Saturday, July 18, 2026. For two evenings, the historic center will host live music, DJ sets, entertainment shows, and the evening opening of shops, involving Pratogiano, via Dolzino, via Bossi, piazza Bertacchi, piazza Crollalanza, piazza Ploncher, piazza Pestalozzi, piazza Persenico, and the areas of Santa Maria and Santa Rosalia.
