Non Solo Birra

A festival that has been running for over thirty years

In Pavullo nel Frignano, the heart of the Modena Apennines, summer has a fixed appointment that is not to be missed: Non Solo Birra. Born in 1990 and organized with passion by the Circolo Freegnano, the event has grown year after year to become one of the most attended summer festivals in the entire province of Modena. The name says it all: there's beer, lots of it and ice-cold, but there's much more, because these evenings intertwine live music, DJ sets, gastronomy, and that spontaneous conviviality that can only be found in well-executed village festivals.

Where and when

The headquarters is the square in front of the G. Minelli Municipal Stadium, along Via Braglia, a large and easily accessible space that transforms into a large festival village every year. It starts in the late evening, usually from 8:00 PM onwards, and goes on until the early hours of the morning with taps, the main stage, and areas dedicated to dancing. The XXXV edition is scheduled from July 23rd to 26th, 2026, as part of the official summer program of Pavullo 'Pavullo'26 - A summer of continuous emotions' promoted by the Municipality.

Beer, music, and much more

The common thread remains draft beer, offered in multiple varieties, accompanied by a gastronomic offer that focuses on the flavors of the Apennines: traditional dishes cooked on the spot, street food, and food trucks, with attention also to the needs of those with intolerances (over the years, gluten-free options for celiacs have appeared). The soundtrack is the real engine of the festival:

• Live concerts on the main stage, with a lineup that alternates well-known names from the Italian scene and local bands;
• DJ sets that liven up the nights until late;
• dance areas with commercial and rock music;
• spaces for emerging bands, which has always been a focus of the event.

A reference point for the Frignano area

More than just a food festival, Non Solo Birra is an identity-building event for Pavullo and the upper Frignano area: four days when the town comes together, families stroll among the stands, young people fill the dance floor, and visitors arrive from neighboring towns and the Modena plain in search of an evening in good company. The free formula, the relaxed atmosphere, and the cool mountain setting of Emilia make it one of the most successful summer events in Emilia-Romagna, capable of uniting multiple generations around a pint and a good concert.
