Promoted by the Municipality of Noci, the event celebrates the deep connection between the local community and the many citizens who have emigrated or live far from their hometown, returning in summer to reconnect with family, friends, and their roots.

From the Emigrant's Evening to Nocesi nel Mondo

The event has its roots in the traditional Serata dell'Emigrante (Emigrant's Evening), a historic appointment through which Noci paid tribute to its children who left for Northern Italy or abroad in search of work. From this collective memory, Nocesi nel Mondo was born, renewing that spirit with a contemporary flair: a large public festival open to everyone, where the community gathers to recognize itself in a shared identity—the Nocese identity—that transcends geographical borders.

Music and the square

The heart of the evening is the free-entry concert held in Piazza Garibaldi, the living room of the modern town that opens just beyond Porta Putignano, at the gates of the historic center.
