Carnival returns to Castello De Sterlich-Aliprandi

The Nocciano Castle Carnival is a masquerade party held within the walls of the Castello De Sterlich-Aliprandi, the manor that overlooks the town of Nocciano, a small municipality in the province of Pescara nestled between the Cigno, Pescara, and Nora valleys. The initiative, promoted by the Pro Loco Nocciano with the patronage of the Municipality of Nocciano, was created to showcase one of the area's most iconic landmarks and to provide a special gathering place for the entire community.

An evening of music and masks

The party is designed as a convivial evening event: at its heart is a DJ set ready to keep guests dancing late into the night, while a cocktail area invites friends to toast within the historic castle walls. There is also the classic prize for the best mask of the evening, rewarding the creativity of the attendees.

The charm of an Abruzzo manor

The Castello De Sterlich-Aliprandi dates back to the year 1000, with its original core consisting of an ancient polygonal tower later incorporated into the current building. Over the centuries, the De Sterlich-Aliprandi family transformed it from a defensive structure into a noble residence, enriching it with loggias and a courtyard overlooking the garden. Hosting a Carnival party here means bringing life back into the castle halls and allowing locals and visitors alike to discover a heritage often overlooked in the province of Pescara and the interior of Abruzzo.

An event for the Nocciano community

Behind the organization is the hard work of the Pro Loco Nocciano volunteers, who enliven the town's calendar with events designed to bring residents of all ages together.
