An evening of storytelling, reading, and community at Parco Federica Stiffi
The Night of Stories in Centocelle is a free cultural event that brings storytelling to the people, outdoors, in one of the most vibrant neighborhood parks in Rome's Municipality V. The evening takes place at the Federica Stiffi Playground, overlooking Piazza dei Gerani in the heart of Centocelle, transforming a daily green space into a place for listening, meeting, and shared memory. The first edition is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1, 2026, starting at 8:00 PM.
Designed especially for families and children, the event focuses on the pleasure of telling and listening to stories. Children, teenagers, and adults gather under the stars to rediscover the value of community relationships in a simple and convivial atmosphere. Stories become the thread that connects generations and restores the voice of the territory to Centocelle.
The evening offers a series of free activities dedicated to reading, play, and discovering the neighborhood:
The Night of Stories was born from the collaboration between numerous local associations and entities that adhere to the Pact for the Alessandrine Aqueduct, a participatory process that promotes the shared care of common goods and the enhancement of local social and cultural heritage. The Alessandrine Aqueduct, an imposing work from the Roman era whose arches still cross this part of the city today, is the symbol around which the neighborhood builds its identity and active citizenship projects.
Centocelle is one of the most popular and vital neighborhoods on the eastern outskirts of Rome, in the Lazio region, rich in associations, green spaces, and historical memory. With the patronage of Municipality V, the Night of Stories fits into this lively fabric as an opportunity to strengthen ties between residents and rediscover, through stories, the soul of a territory in constant transformation.
The first edition of the Night of Stories in Centocelle was held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, starting at 8:00 PM, at the Federica Stiffi Playground in Piazza dei Gerani. The free program alternated between read-aloud sessions for children, entertainment, bookcrossing, tales of the neighborhood's history, and moments of environmental education, involving families and local associations. The initiative, under the patronage of Municipality V, was born within the Pact for the Alessandrine Aqueduct, a participatory process dedicated to the shared care of common goods.
Free admission evening, from 8:00 PM at the Federica Stiffi Playground (Piazza dei Gerani, Centocelle):
