About Nicolosi Market

From December 6th to January 6th, the small square at Via Filippo Corridoni 78 in Latina's Nicolosi district transforms into a warm, glowing Christmas village. Every afternoon, the Nicolosi Market «A Christmas of Value» brings together local artisans and food and wine producers, featuring guided tastings, literary meetings, and live music. It is a month-long series of events where gifts, encounters, and flavors become a tangible gesture of support for culture, the community, and the regeneration of the neighborhood.

A Christmas village in the Nicolosi district

Throughout the holiday season, the small square at Via Filippo Corridoni 78 in Latina takes on a new look. Lights, wooden stalls, and displays create an intimate village that local residents have come to consider their winter gathering point. The Nicolosi Christmas Market, subtitled «A Christmas of Value», is held every year from December 6th to January 6th, daily from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM: a schedule designed for the late afternoon, when the neighborhood lights up and strolling among the exhibitors becomes a daily ritual.

Artisan craftsmanship and Pontine excellence

The heart of the event is the selection of exhibitors. In the last edition, 22 artisan artists participated with original works and handmade goods, alongside 12 producers of local food and wine excellence: the highest number ever reached by the market. Textiles, ceramics, jewelry, home decor, illustrations, and small works of art share the space with honey, wine, craft beer, preserves, and baked goods from the province of Latina.

  • Original handmade goods and unique pieces, never mass-produced
  • Food and wine producers from the Pontine territory
  • Guided tastings every evening, featuring stories from the producers themselves
  • Free admission for the entire duration of the event

More than just stalls: a month of culture

What distinguishes the Nicolosi Market from a simple Christmas fair is the cultural calendar that accompanies it. Previous editions have featured literary meetings and book debates, jazz concerts, the inauguration of photography exhibitions dedicated to the neighborhood, and charity bingo games with prizes donated by the artisans and producers themselves. The market is, in fact, the most visible appointment of a program that the Spazio Culturale Nicolosi APS carries out all year round.

The Nicolosi district and its regeneration

Nicolosi is one of the historic districts of Latina, the provincial capital of southern Lazio and a city founded in the 1930s. In recent years, it has become a laboratory for multicultural coexistence and grassroots urban regeneration: the market was born from this very impulse, with the stated goal of ensuring that gifts, meetings, and flavors translate into concrete support for culture and the community. The event takes place in the Municipality of Latina under the patronage of the Lazio Regional Council, the Municipality itself, and with the support of the Fondazione Roma.

Why it's worth a visit

Those looking for a large Alpine-style Christmas market will not find it here: the Nicolosi Market is a neighborhood event, human-scaled, where you can talk to the artisan who made the object and taste wine from someone who produces it just a few kilometers away. It is a perfect stop for those visiting Latina and the Pontine coast during the holidays, and an opportunity to discover a side of the city that rarely ends up in guidebooks. The formula is simple: a month of continuous opening, afternoon and evening hours, and the certainty of finding something to see, taste, or listen to every day.

Nicolosi Market — edition 2026

The third edition of the Nicolosi Market took place from December 6, 2025, to January 6, 2026, daily from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, in the small square at Via Filippo Corridoni 78 in Latina. With 22 artisan artists and 12 local food and wine producers, it was the richest edition ever in terms of the number of exhibitors, accompanied each evening by guided tastings of products from the Pontine territory.

The richest edition ever

For a whole month, the small square at Via Filippo Corridoni 78 transformed into a warm and bright village. The 2025-2026 edition of the Nicolosi Market «A Christmas of Value» brought together 22 artisan artists with original works and handmade goods and 12 producers of local food and wine excellence, the highest number ever reached by the event organized by the Spazio Culturale Nicolosi APS.

Continuous opening and evening tastings

The market remained open every day from December 6th to January 6th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with free admission. Every evening, it was possible to sample and taste local products during guided sessions of storytelling and conviviality, following the formula that has made the event a reference point for Christmas in the Municipality of Latina.

A Christmas of value

As in previous editions, the initiative presented itself as a project of cultural, ethical, and human value: a month in which gifts, meetings, and flavors become a concrete gesture of support for culture, the community, and the regeneration of the Nicolosi district.
