How to get there
By ferry: Daily connections from Piombino to Portoferraio (about an hour of navigation) with the main companies. From the port of Portoferraio, Piazza Cavour can be reached on foot in a few minutes. By car: Reach Piombino via the SS398 and board the vehicle on the ferry. On the island, it is recommended to leave the car near the center and continue on foot.
Admission and tips
Free outdoor event. Appropriate winter clothing is recommended. The end-of-year holidays are among the periods of highest tourist influx: book your ferry and accommodation in advance.
