Every New Year's Eve, the Municipality of Cisterna di Latina hosts a large, free public celebration to guide citizens toward the midnight countdown and welcome the New Year together under the stars.

A celebration at the Via delle Province Market Area

The stage for the evening is the Via delle Province Market Area, a spacious city venue that hosts the weekly market and is specially prepared and secured for the New Year's Eve festivities. A large stage equipped with sound systems, lights, and LED walls, along with dedicated food and drink areas and public facilities, transforms the square into a true open-air arena, designed to ensure the party is comfortable and safe for families and young people alike.

"Euforia 2000" and musical performances

The format features a musical show that kicks off in the early evening and builds momentum until the final countdown. A standout among recent editions was "Euforia 2000", a twenty-five-year musical journey spanning 90s sounds, dance hits, and current chart-toppers, featuring DJs, vocalists, performers, dancers, and live musicians. The show attracted nearly two thousand people, confirming how deeply rooted this event is in the life of the Cisterna community.

A free event for everyone

New Year's Eve in the Square is completely free and open to the public. The municipal administration's stated goal is to offer citizens, especially the youth, a safe and engaging way to celebrate, creating a shared gathering point in the city center. In recent years, the Municipality has also complemented the festivities with an ordinance banning the use of firecrackers and fireworks, ensuring a more peaceful and respectful New Year's Eve.
