Three days of music, words, and performance for the opening of the new Redino Park in Bagnacavallo
In Bagnacavallo, a town in the Romagna plain in the province of Ravenna, a new green lung is born: the Redino Park, over four hectares of public area in the southeastern part of the town, created thanks to an investment of approximately 830,000 euros with the involvement of the Western Romagna Land Reclamation Consortium. To present it to the city, the Municipality chose not to limit itself to a ribbon-cutting ceremony but to animate the new space with a widespread festival of music, words, and performance: Nel Verde – Sounds and Voices at Redino, from June 18 to 21, 2026.
The festival is designed as a journey through different languages, each entrusted to a local entity. It begins on Thursday, June 18, with the official inauguration at 6:30 PM, in the presence of Mayor Matteo Giacomoni and the municipal administration; in the evening, at 9:30 PM, the stand-up comedy show that opens the festival, accompanied by a DJ set before and after. Friday, June 19, is dedicated to sound experimentation, with an evening focused on sound as a narrative practice. Sunday, June 21, finally, the closing is entrusted to the grand Music Festival on the summer solstice.
The common thread is outdoor conviviality: throughout the days, the park comes alive with a refreshment area and food trucks, allowing visitors to experience Redino as a meeting place to listen to music, watch performances, and simply be together. Sunday also features a picnic-on-the-grass option, with the public invited to bring their own blankets to enjoy the concerts under the stars.
Nel Verde is born from the collaboration between the Municipality of Bagnacavallo and various local associations and cultural entities, from the associations curating the comedy evening and the experimental music festival to the Pro Loco of Bagnacavallo, which is organizing the closing celebration. More than a single event, it is the city's chosen way to inaugurate a place and make it vibrant from the start: a new green space in Emilia-Romagna that presents itself with voices, sounds, and encounters.
The festival officially inaugurates the new Redino Park, over four hectares of green space created with an investment of approximately 830,000 euros. For three days, the park becomes an open-air stage with a comedy show, experimental music, and a grand popular festival on the summer solstice, accompanied each evening by a refreshment area with food trucks.
Evening curated by Magma, as part of the Elementi festival, dedicated to sound experimentation.
Closing day curated by the Pro Loco of Bagnacavallo.
