The quality floriculture market exhibition in the historic garden of the Reggia di Colorno
Nel Segno del Giglio is the market exhibition for quality floriculture held every spring in the charming Historic Garden of the Reggia di Colorno Park, in the Municipality of Colorno, province of Parma (Emilia-Romagna). Founded in 1995, the event has established itself as one of the most anticipated appointments in the national gardening calendar, attracting enthusiasts, collectors, and the curious from all over Italy. The setting of the ducal palace, with its French-style parterres and its history linked to Maria Luigia of Austria, gives the event a unique atmosphere.
Each edition brings together about 160 selected exhibitors chosen by a botanical jury of experts. Visitors can discover:
Each year, the event proposes a cultural theme that intertwines botany, art, science, and gastronomy. The program includes conferences, floral discussions, book presentations, creative workshops, photographic exhibitions, and guided tastings, in collaboration with green experts, landscape designers, and the prestigious ALMA cooking school, which is located in the Reggia di Colorno.
In addition to the exhibition, Nel Segno del Giglio dedicates ample space to activities for families and children, with botanical workshops, animated readings, entertainment, and creative outdoor activities in the park. The refreshment areas offer specialties of Parmesan cuisine, while the palace gardens provide an ideal setting for a stroll among spring blooms and scents.
More than just a fair, the event is a cultural experience that enhances the heritage of greenery, biodiversity, and the connection between humans and nature. For those who love gardening, botany, or simply the beauty of the historic sites of Emilia-Romagna, Colorno and its Palace are an unmissable destination on the weekend at the end of April.
The 2026 edition, the thirty-first, celebrated the bicentennial of Carlo Collodi's birth by choosing metamorphosis as its theme. For three days, the historic garden of the Reggia di Colorno welcomed approximately 160 exhibitors, including quality nursery growers, garden furniture, brocantage, crafts, and producers from the Parma Food Valley.
The program featured conferences and botanical discussions, including a conference on the restoration of historic gardens at the Orangery, book presentations, creative workshops, and tastings in collaboration with the ALMA cooking school. Numerous botanical novelties were presented, and the program of entertainment, exhibitions, and workshops for families and children in the park was extensive.
