Every year, as Advent approaches, the historic center of Capena dons its festive attire. This small medieval village, perched on the hills of the Roman Sabina north of the capital, hosts its Christmas Markets: a trail of stalls winding through alleys, arches, and squares, where artisans, local producers, and food trucks welcome visitors into an intimate, quintessential Christmas atmosphere.

The markets are held in the historic center (medieval village) of Capena (00060), in the province of Rome, Lazio.
By car: From Rome, take the Via Salaria or Via Tiberina heading north (about 30 minutes from the Grande Raccordo Anulare); Capena is also accessible from the Fiano Romano exit of the A1 motorway. By train: The reference station is on the railway line to Sabina, with a connecting bus or car ride to the center.
