Natale a Norcia

For the 2026/27 holidays, Christmas in Norcia returns, with its blend of market, living nativity scenes, and traditions. The detailed program and precise dates have not yet been published and will be released by the Municipal Administration and Confcommercio Valnerina closer to the holidays.

As tradition dictates, the edition will include the craft market in wooden chalets at the San Francesco Monumental Complex, the Living Nativity of San Pellegrino, the Sacred Representation of the Nativity, and New Year's Eve in Piazza San Benedetto.

The detailed program for the 2026/27 edition will be announced closer to the holidays. The usual structure of Norcia's Christmas includes:

• Christmas Market — ten wooden chalets with typical products and crafts, at the San Francesco Monumental Complex (hours 10:00-13:00 and 15:30-19:00)
• Living Nativity of San Pellegrino — in the district of the same name
• Sacred Representation of the Nativity — in the Capolaterra district
• New Year's Eve in Piazza San Benedetto — live music and midnight toast

How to get there

Norcia can be reached by car via the SS685 delle Tre Valli Umbre, exiting the SS3 Flaminia at Spoleto. Nearest train station: Spoleto (about 50 km).

When and where

The events take place between late December and Epiphany, with the market in the area of the San Francesco Monumental Complex and other events in the districts and in Piazza San Benedetto.

Admission

Market and most events are free admission. For the Sacred Representation of the Nativity, a free ticket may be required to be collected in the city.
