Three days of music, local flavours and community spirit in Nave San Rocco
The Naf'n Festa is the most anticipated popular event for the navetteri, the inhabitants of Nave San Rocco, a village in the municipality of Terre d'Adige, in the heart of the Piana Rotaliana in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). For three days, usually in mid-June, the small town overlooking the Adige river transforms into a large open-air meeting point, where music, good food and rural tradition intertwine in a genuinely local atmosphere.
Behind the festival is the tireless work of the Pro Loco of Nave San Rocco, chaired by Loris Bonato, which mobilizes over 150 volunteers every year in collaboration with local associations and the municipal administration. It is precisely this community spirit that makes the Naf'n Festa much more than a simple festival: an opportunity to strengthen bonds between generations and enhance the identity of the territory, as also highlighted by provincial institutions.
The gastronomic heart of the festival offers the great classics of local tradition, prepared and served by volunteers at the village stands:
The evenings are enlivened by live bands, cover bands and DJ sets that keep the rhythm going until 2 am. There is also a space dedicated to children with NaveLand (inflatables and games), exhibitions set up in the village spaces and dance moments for all ages, in a program designed for families, young people and the elderly.
The most iconic moment is the Trattorata, the parade of vintage tractors that crosses the apple orchards and countryside of Nave San Rocco, celebrating the agricultural vocation of the Piana Rotaliana. On Sunday morning, the vehicles gather for the procession, followed by the tractor exhibition, water games and the awards ceremony, before the lottery draw that closes the festival.
The Naf'n Festa is, in short, a portrait of a Trentino that works as a network: a free-entry festival that combines tradition, gastronomy and volunteering, capable of attracting visitors from all over the Rotaliana area and ideally opening the long season of summer festivals in the territory.
The festival kicked off on Friday, June 19 with the official opening, music by the Nautilus Band, the NaveLand play area and the kitchen. Saturday, June 20 was an evening dedicated to shows, dancing and entertainment until late at night. Sunday, June 21 was the highlight with the 5th Trattorata: tractor gathering in the morning, parade through the apple orchards, vehicle exhibition, water games, awards ceremony and lottery draw in the evening.
Nave San Rocco is a village in the municipality of Terre d'Adige (TN), along the Adige valley. By car: A22 motorway exit Trento Nord or San Michele all'Adige/Mezzocorona, then local roads towards Nave San Rocco. By train: Trento or Mezzocorona stations on the Brenner line, with continuation by bus.
The festival takes place in the center of Nave San Rocco, along Via IV Novembre and in the village spaces. Free entry; food and drinks are available for purchase at the gastronomic stands managed by the Pro Loco volunteers.
Bring comfortable clothing for the outdoor evenings and expect crowds during dinner hours. Sunday is dedicated to the Trattorata and family activities.
