It is an event that residents and the many Castiglione natives returning home for the summer look forward to with affection: an evening designed to bring people together, reconnect, and enjoy the cool August nights in the heart of Abruzzo.

Under the stars of San Lorenzo

The festival falls on the most romantic night of the year, the Night of San Lorenzo, when popular tradition invites us to look up at the sky to search for shooting stars and entrust them with a wish. In Castiglione a Casauria, this charm turns into a community celebration: described by the organizers as romantic and fun, the Muretto Festival combines the convivial spirit of a village fair with the suspended atmosphere of a midsummer night. It is a moment when the village gathers around its Pro Loco, amidst chatter, good food, and the desire to stay outdoors until late at night.
