Three nights of iconic Italian music on the square of the Basilica in Capurso
The Multiculturita Summer Festival is among the most enduring and beloved music events in Puglia. Established in 2003, it transforms Capurso, a town in the Metropolitan City of Bari, into a hub for live music in Southern Italy every July. Its formula, which has remained faithful over the years, combines major Italian music stars with a strong local identity, with a particular focus on singer-songwriters and high-quality performances.
The festival stage is set on the square of the Royal Basilica of Maria SS. del Pozzo, the spiritual and symbolic heart of Capurso. The esplanade in front of the sanctuary, a destination for pilgrimages and popular devotion, becomes a natural amphitheater where music engages with sacred architecture and the community's history. It is this combination of performance and identity-rich location that makes the Multiculturita experience distinct from a standard summer concert.
In 2026, the festival hits the milestone of its 24th edition, scheduled from July 16th to 18th. The lineup brings together three protagonists of the Italian scene: RAF, who will kick off his «Infinito – Estate 2026» tour right here in Capurso; Noemi, in one of her rare Apulian appearances; and Levante with her «Dell'Amore» tour. Three evenings ranging from auteur pop to intimate, contemporary songwriting.
Multiculturita is more than just a series of concerts: over the years, the event has added sections dedicated to jazz, accolades like the Rino Arbore National Prize for young talent, and initiatives to promote the local area. The event is organized by the Municipality of Capurso in collaboration with the festival's historical promoters, confirming its deep roots in the city's cultural life.
Located just a few kilometers from Bari, Capurso is famous for its sanctuary and the devotional tradition linked to the Madonna del Pozzo. Attending the Multiculturita Summer Festival is also a chance to discover an authentic corner of Puglia, featuring historic town centers, local gastronomy, and proximity to the Adriatic Sea and the regional capital.
The 2026 edition of the Multiculturita Summer Festival, the twenty-fourth, takes place in Capurso from Thursday, July 16th to Saturday, July 18th. The festival opens with RAF, who has chosen the Basilica square as the inaugural date for his «Infinito – Estate 2026» tour. July 17th features Noemi, in one of her only Apulian stops this summer, while Levante closes the festival on July 18th with her «Dell'Amore» tour. Concerts are assigned seating, with tickets available on Ticketone and Ciaotickets. The collaboration between the Municipality of Capurso and the festival's historical promoters is confirmed for this edition as well.
Capurso is about 12 km from Bari. By car, it can be reached via the SS100 or SS16; the town is connected to the capital by the Ferrovie del Sud Est railway line. The nearest airport is Bari-Palese «Karol Wojtyła».
Concerts feature assigned seating. Tickets are available on Ticketone, Ciaotickets, and authorized retailers. For information: [email protected], tel. +39 080 5127645.
