Mu.Vi. Monterosi - Wine in Music was born from a simple yet brilliant idea: to tell the story of wine through acoustic music. Two seemingly distant worlds that, as the organizers love to repeat, share the same characteristics — color, sensations, character, and harmony. The result is a festival that combines tasting, listening, and conviviality in the historic center of Monterosi, a small town in the Province of Viterbo, in northern Lazio, just a stone's throw from Lake Vico and the Via Cassia.

Palazzo Altieri's courtyard as a stage

The heart of the event is the courtyard of Palazzo Altieri, the town hall, which for the occasion transforms into an open-air tasting square. Surrounding it, the village streets host stalls and producers' stands. It is a deliberately intimate format: no large stages, but close-up listening, perfectly suited to acoustic music and the slow pace of tasting.

Wine, food, and oenological culture

The food and wine offering revolves around wine tastings by the glass, accompanied by food stalls serving typical dishes and products from the Tuscia region. Alongside the tastings, Mu.Vi. dedicates space each evening to wine culture workshops: informative conversations with experts and producers, available by reservation, designed to give the public a few more tools to understand what they are drinking. Titles like "Tales of a unique winemaking experience" or "How do I know if a wine is good?" give a good idea of the approach: accessible, never academic.

The music: jazz, acoustic, and band tradition

The musical program is entrusted to acoustic ensembles and jazz projects, with evening concerts accompanying the tastings until late. It is no coincidence that the event is organized by the "S. Cecilia" Music Band of Monterosi: the festival is also a way to support and showcase a historic local band deeply rooted in the community's life. Monterosi, after all, is a small town with a lively musical scene, even hosting the MUJIC association dedicated to jazz.
