The historic motoring expo at Fiera di Roma
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Motori Capitale is the event entirely dedicated to historic motoring held at the Fiera di Roma, in the municipality of Rome, in the province of Rome and the Lazio region. For an entire weekend, three pavilions and the expansive outdoor spaces of the Via Portuense exhibition center transform into an open-air and indoor museum: hundreds of vintage cars and motorcycles, meticulously restored vehicles, private collections, unique pieces, and curiosities that tell the story of over a century of automotive history.
The first edition, held on September 21 and 22, 2024, exceeded all expectations by attracting over ten thousand enthusiasts from across Italy. Its success has made Motori Capitale a fixed late-summer appointment for the historic car and motorcycle community, with a rich calendar of exhibitors, federated clubs, museums, and collectors returning each year.
The heart of the event is the vehicle exhibition, complemented by stands featuring vintage accessories and spare parts, as well as spaces dedicated to automotive history and the culture of restoration. Highlights from past editions include:
Alongside static displays, Motori Capitale offers a dense program of meetings: talks with drivers and champions, presentations, technical workshops, and conferences on the restoration and preservation of historic vehicles, as well as themed rallies, parades, and elegance contests that animate the two-day fair. There is no shortage of parades dedicated to the most beloved brands, such as the Ferrari rally, and initiatives designed to engage even the youngest audience.
While being a benchmark for collectors, restorers, and industry professionals, Motori Capitale is also designed for families and casual enthusiasts: walking through the pavilions of the Fiera di Roma means traveling through decades of design, engineering, and Italian style in a vintage atmosphere that fascinates both adults and children.
The choice of Rome is no coincidence: the Capital hosts some of the most important historic motoring entities and national federations, and the Fiera di Roma, easily accessible along Via Portuense, offers the ideal space for an exhibition of this scale. Motori Capitale thus contributes to enhancing the Italian motoring heritage in Lazio, combining memory, technique, and passion into one great event.
The 2026 edition of Motori Capitale has not yet been officially confirmed with dates and a program.
