About Motobefana

Every January 6th, Epiphany Day, the historic center of Correggio fills with vintage and modern motorcycles for the Motobefana, one of Italy's longest-running motorcycle rallies. Along Corso Mazzini, hundreds of motorcyclists arrive from all over the province of Reggio Emilia and beyond, many dressed as Befana, for a morning of celebration, breakfast with mulled wine, and awards for the most original motorcycles. A traditional event that combines a passion for two wheels with community.

The Motobefana of Correggio

The Motobefana of Correggio is one of the oldest and most beloved motorcycle events in Emilia-Romagna. Every year, on Epiphany Day (January 6th), the historic center of the Municipality of Correggio, in the province of Reggio Emilia, transforms into an open-air museum of vintage and contemporary motorcycles. The 71st edition took place in 2026, confirming a history that dates back to the mid-1950s.

A Tradition Over Seventy Years Old

Born in the 1950s, the Motobefana has grown to become a landmark for two-wheel enthusiasts throughout the plains of Reggio Emilia and Modena. The rally attracts hundreds of motorcyclists, families, and curious onlookers every year who flock to Corso Mazzini and the town's streets. The event is supported by the Municipality of Correggio and organized by the Gruppo Onorio Moto along with the BMW Motorrad Club Emilia and the Emilia Road Chapter.

Befanas on Bikes and Motorcycles from All Over the Province

The heart of the celebration is the parade of customized motorcycles: many participants arrive dressed as Befana or decorate their two-wheelers with costumes, accessories, and decorations inspired by the popular Epiphany tradition. From historic motorcycles to the latest models, every vehicle contributes to a spectacle that draws enthusiasts from all over the province of Reggio Emilia and neighboring regions.

Awards and Festive Atmosphere

The morning concludes with awards under the clock tower on Corso Mazzini: the five most original Befanas, the best Motobefana, and the largest club are recognized, with a special award for the most participating BMW Motorrad Club. Accompanying the rally is a breakfast offered with mulled wine and hot sandwiches that warm the motorcyclists on the cold January morning.

An Event for the Whole Family

The Motobefana is not just for motorcycle enthusiasts: the festive atmosphere in the center of Correggio involves families and children, with collateral initiatives in the town on Epiphany Day. An opportunity to experience a genuine Emilia-Romagna tradition, combining motorcycle passion, folklore, and the warmth of the Correggio community.
