The July Fair, also known as Morfasso in Festa, is the most cherished village festival in Morfasso, a mountain municipality in the Province of Piacenza, in the heart of Alta Val d'Arda, in Emilia-Romagna. For three days, the small Apennine village transforms into the meeting point for an entire valley: residents, holidaymakers, and families who return to the mountains every summer gather to fill the streets and the square with music, flavors, and joy.
A tradition spanning over sixty years
Organized by the Pro Loco of Morfasso together with the Municipality of Morfasso, the July Fair has roots stretching back over six decades. As the organization recounted, "for us, it's more than a summer event: it's a reunion of traditions and friends, the moment when we gather to fill our mountain town." It is this community spirit that makes the event a fixed fixture on the summer calendar of Alta Val d'Arda.
Music, dancing, and fun for everyone
The pulsating heart of the festival is the dance floor, a large steel structure of about 200 square meters set up for the occasion. Every evening, folk dance orchestras, live music, and DJ sets take turns animating the square until late at night. There are also attractions for the little ones: inflatables, stalls, and, on weekend days, a fun driving school for children with electric cars, quizzes, and the symbolic issuance of a "driver's license.".
The flavors of Piacenza mountain cuisine
The absolute protagonist is the typical gastronomy: every evening, starting from 7:00 PM, the stalls offer specialties of the Piacenza peasant tradition. Don't miss the wood-fired polenta with potatoes, the potato cake, the chisolini, and numerous other local dishes, prepared according to old recipes. A perfect opportunity to discover the authentic flavors of the Apennines and experience the genuine atmosphere of a true village festival.
July Fair — edition 2026
July Fair 2026 in Morfasso
The July Fair returns to Morfasso, in the Piacenza Alta Val d'Arda, from Friday, July 10 to Sunday, July 12, 2026. The proven formula is confirmed: three evenings of celebration with live music, dance orchestras, and DJ sets on the large dance floor in the square, accompanied each evening by food stalls with wood-fired polenta, potato cake, chisolini, and other local specialties.
Currently, the detailed artistic program has not yet been published: the evening events and the names of the orchestras will be communicated by the Pro Loco of Morfasso closer to the event. The usual attractions for families and children are also expected.

The detailed program for the 2026 edition (orchestras, DJ sets, and evening schedules) has not yet been published. The usual structure of the festival includes:
- Three consecutive evenings (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) with live music, dance orchestras, and DJ sets on the steel dance floor set up in the square.
- Food stalls open every evening from 7:00 PM with Piacenza specialties.
- Attractions for children and families (inflatables, stalls, children's driving school on weekends).
The complete program will be announced by the Pro Loco of Morfasso in the weeks preceding the event.

Where
The July Fair takes place in the center of Morfasso (CAP 29020), between the town square and the playground, in Alta Val d'Arda, Province of Piacenza.
How to get there
By car from Piacenza, you can reach Morfasso by driving along the Val d'Arda towards the Apennines; the village is connected to Lugagnano Val d'Arda and Castell'Arquato. The nearest train station is Fiorenzuola d'Arda or Piacenza, followed by a car journey.

Free admission. Food stalls open every evening from 7:00 PM.
