A day of flowers, art, and flavors in a medieval village in the Valdarno
When spring arrives, the historic center of Montopoli in Val d'Arno, a small medieval village in the province of Pisa, in the heart of Tuscany, dresses up for the occasion. Montopoli in Fiore is a widespread event that, for an entire day, turns the town's streets, squares, and secret gardens into a path of colors, scents, and creativity. Born from a simple idea and a gesture of care for the village, the festival has grown edition after edition, now attracting thousands of visitors.
The event is conceived and organized by the Arco di Castruccio Cultural Association, an organization active for over twenty-five years in promoting Montopoli's heritage, supported by the creative group Ragazze in Fiore and the patronage of the Municipality of Montopoli in Val d'Arno. A dense network of volunteers, local associations, businesses, and cultural institutions revolves around the event, demonstrating a truly collective participation from the town.
The day is also an excellent opportunity to discover Montopoli in Val d'Arno, a hillside village overlooking the lower Arno valley, with its medieval profile, tower, and panoramic views. Between a street performance and a guided tour, Montopoli in Fiore is an invitation to slowly experience the beauties of an authentic corner of the province of Pisa.
The fourth edition of Montopoli in Fiore, on Sunday, April 26, 2026, confirmed the success of the event: a day described by the organizers as "extraordinary, capable of uniting beauty, participation, and identity". The village was filled with nursery exhibitions, floral carpets, live painting sessions, theater and musical performances, and tours of private gardens and historic residences. The contribution of the Ragazze in Fiore group and the network of volunteers (Auser, Pro Loco, Civil Protection) was central to making the event possible.
