The little ones' trail
The Mini Trail Campo dei Fiori is a non-competitive trail running event dedicated to children, which takes place at Parco Din Don in Malgesso, in the municipality of Bardello con Malgesso e Bregano, in the province of Varese. An event that introduces children to running in nature, in a festive and playful atmosphere.
Child-friendly routes
The courses are designed for the 6-10 year old age group, with two options - 500 meters and 1 kilometer - and a number of laps adapted to the age of the participants. All young athletes who cross the finish line receive a medal and refreshments, in an atmosphere of enthusiasm that each year involves hundreds of children from local primary schools.
The Trail Village and partners
A real Trail Village comes to life around the races, with pony rides, face painting, artisanal snacks, and partner exhibitors. The event is organized by Campo dei Fiori Outdoor ASD and the CAI Gavirate section, with the patronage of the Regional Council of Lombardy, the Sports Commission of Varese, and the Municipality.

The Mini Trail Campo dei Fiori 2026
The 2026 edition of the Mini Trail Campo dei Fiori was held on May 16 at Parco Din Don in Malgesso, in the municipality of Bardello con Malgesso e Bregano, with over 500 children participating from primary schools in the Varese area.
The young athletes, aged 6 to 10, competed on the 500-meter and 1-kilometer routes: the youngest ran one lap, while fourth and fifth graders ran two laps. All finishers received a medal and refreshments. Around the races, the Trail Village offered pony rides, face painting, artisanal snacks, and exhibitors. The event was organized by Campo dei Fiori Outdoor ASD and CAI Gavirate, with the patronage of the Regional Council of Lombardy and the Municipality.
