The Mini-Enduro dei Gufi is the event that brings dozens of young mountain bike enthusiasts every autumn to Pogno, a small town in the Province of Novara overlooking Lake Orta. Organized by the MTB I Gufi sports association, based at Via Garibaldi 4, the event is entirely dedicated to young riders and serves as one of the stages of the regional Piemonte Enduro Kids circuit.
What is youth enduro?
Enduro is a mountain bike discipline that alternates transfer climbs with timed downhill runs, known as special stages, on technical woodland trails. The Mini-Enduro adapts this format for younger participants: the courses are tailor-made for different age groups in a safe and fun environment that focuses on technical development and the joy of riding together. The race is open to Giovanissimi (youth) categories G1 through G6, for both boys and girls.
Racing on the trails of Cusio
The woods surrounding Pogno, nestled between Lake Orta and the Cusio hills, offer the ideal terrain for this race: trails immersed in nature, single tracks, and technical sections adjusted according to the participants' ages. Younger categories (G1, G2, G3) tackle a smaller number of special stages, while older riders (G4, G5, G6) take on a more demanding course with more timed runs.
A celebration for the whole family
Beyond the competition, the Mini-Enduro dei Gufi is a festive occasion that involves entire families. Every year, the MTB I Gufi association ensures a warm welcome for riders and their supporters, providing assistance, refreshments, and awards for all participants. The event is the result of the work of volunteers and enthusiasts who have been promoting youth mountain biking in Piedmont for years, with the goal of introducing children to this sport in a gradual and relaxed way.
The Piemonte Enduro Kids circuit
The Mini-Enduro dei Gufi is part of the Piemonte Enduro Kids calendar, a regional circuit that brings together various stages dedicated to young riders across Piedmont. The Pogno race traditionally closes the season in autumn, awarding the final points for the circuit's overall rankings.
Mini-Enduro dei Gufi — edition 2026
The 8th edition of the Mini-Enduro dei Gufi takes place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, on the trails of Pogno (NO) and is the final stage of the 2026 Piemonte Enduro Kids circuit. The date was announced by the organizers, MTB I Gufi ASD, in March 2026. The detailed schedule and special stage routes will be published by the association in the weeks leading up to the event.
The 2026 Piemonte Enduro Kids circuit consists of four stages: April 12 in Canelli (AT), June 28 in Asti (AT), September 20 in Rocca Canavese (TO), and the conclusion on October 11 in Pogno.

The detailed program for the 8th Mini-Enduro of Pogno will be published by the organizers in the weeks before the race. Based on the established structure of previous editions, the day includes:
- Meeting point, registration check, and number collection in the morning, approximately from 7:30 AM
- Briefing for riders and supporters before the start
- Giovanissimi G1-G2-G3 categories (M/F): shortened course with fewer timed special stages
- Giovanissimi G4-G5-G6 categories (M/F): longer and more technical track with more special stages
- Awards ceremony for all categories at the end of the day
Registration is done online via the platforms indicated by the organization (FattoreK / endu); no registrations are accepted on the day of the race.

How to get there
By car: Pogno can be reached via the A26 motorway (Borgomanero or Gozzano-Lago d'Orta exit) in the Lake Orta area. By train: the nearest station is Gozzano on the Novara-Domodossola line, just a few kilometres away.
Registration
Registration is reserved for members of the Giovanissimi categories and must be completed online via the platforms indicated by the organizers (FattoreK / endu). No registrations are accepted on the day of the race.
