Five days on the digital future of the city
Milano Digital Week is the major city-wide event dedicated to digital and innovation, promoted by the Municipality of Milan (Lombardy). The 2026 edition takes place from September 30 to October 4, with the title 'The generative city': five days of widespread events exploring the role of technologies in society and urban life.
The heart of the 2026 edition is the Smart City Lab, defined as an ecosystem where ideas, people, and technologies meet to build the smart and sustainable city of tomorrow. Around this hub, a program of meetings is organized for citizens, businesses, students, and professionals.
The event has always been widespread across the territory: in previous editions, the program exceeded 180 events, organized around thematic Knowledge Hubs distributed throughout the city. Topics range from digital citizenship to smart city, from culture, art, and sport to technologies, from digital for businesses to work and training.
Through workshops, talks, and plenaries, Milano Digital Week confirms itself as a key event for those who want to understand how innovation is changing the way we live, work, and inhabit Milan. An opportunity to bring the general public closer to digital topics, in an accessible and participatory way.
