A festival born from a signature local product

Mi Sa di Buono - Monte San Biagio Sausage Festival is the spring event that brings the village of Monte San Biagio, in the province of Latina, together to celebrate the product that carries its name across the world: the Monte San Biagio sausage. Seasoned with coriander and chili pepper according to a recipe passed down through generations, it is considered one of the culinary excellences of southern Lazio and remains the central theme of the entire event.

The festival takes place entirely within the historic center, among the squares, open spaces, and alleys of the old town perched on the Ausoni Mountains, just a few kilometers from the Fondi lake and the Tyrrhenian coast. The event is organized by the Wake Up Association, working in collaboration with the Municipality of Monte San Biagio and the Pro Loco, with the support of the Lazio Regional Council.

What to expect at the festival

For two days, the village comes alive with a packed program spread across several squares. The food stalls offer the sausage in all its forms—grilled, pan-fried, or paired with local products—complemented by local wineries and regional producers.

The festival also includes a conference dedicated to promoting the Monte San Biagio sausage, hosted at the "Dario Lo Sordo" Municipal Library, featuring administrators, representatives of agricultural organizations, and food and wine journalists. It is a way to accompany the popular celebration with a serious reflection on the protection and promotion of the product.

Solidarity and community

Sunday morning traditionally opens with a moment of solidarity: a charity walk that crosses the town to support research and prevention initiatives, with the participation of local associations. It is a testament to an event born from volunteer work that involves the entire community in every phase, from setting up the stalls to welcoming visitors.
