Strigora — A Sunday with the Witches of Triora is the festival that recalls the village's most famous history: the witchcraft trial of 1587, which made Triora (upper Argentina valley, province of Imperia) known throughout Italy as "the village of the witches". A story of superstition and tragedy that still fuels the mysterious charm of the village today.

For one Sunday, the medieval historic center transforms into a journey between history and legend. Among the alleyways, markets, vintage games, music, and themed shows come to life, in an atmosphere that blends historical reenactment and fairy-tale suggestion, involving adults and children alike.

For 2026, Strigora is scheduled for Sunday, August 23, as confirmed by the Liguria Region as part of the Authentic Events 2026. The village of Triora dedicates the day to its most famous history, that of the witches of 1587.
Among the alleyways of the medieval historic center, markets, vintage games, and themed music and shows come to life, in an atmosphere suspended between historical reenactment and fairy-tale suggestion.
