Every summer, the Municipality of Menaggio and the adjacent Tremezzina, on the western shore of Lake Como in the Province of Como, become the international capital of the guitar. The Menaggio and Lake Como International Guitar Festival brings together guitarists from all over the world, offering a program that spans different musical genres and cultures.

The concerts are held in some of the most evocative locations in the area: historic villas, churches, and gardens overlooking the lake. Onde Trasversali and Artistic Direction

The festival is organized by the Cultural Association Onde Trasversali, with the support of the Municipalities of Menaggio and Tremezzina, and is directed by guitarist and composer Sergio Fabian Lavia. Most concerts offer free admission, a choice that makes the event accessible to everyone and has established it over the years as a highly anticipated event for music lovers and visitors to Lake Como.
