Carnival in the heart of Vulture

In the city of Melfi, ancient Frederick II capital at the foot of Vulture, Carnival is a deeply felt popular tradition. The highlight is the masked ball, a cheerful and colorful party designed to bring together families, children, and young people with masks, confetti, streamers, and lots of music. An event that brings back the most playful and community spirit of the Lucanian carnival tradition to the square.

A party for everyone

The masked ball takes place at the Municipal Gym in Melfi and invites participants to come with the most original masks and a great desire to dance. The soundtrack for the party is provided by DJ Antonello Croce, who accompanies the hours of entertainment with music for all ages. To ensure everyone's safety, the use of spray cans is prohibited.

The associative value

The event is organized by various local entities — CSI Melfi, Pro Humanitate, A.S. Consiglio, with the support of AVIS Melfi and AGAPE — under the patronage of the Municipality of Melfi. An associative network that also makes the Carnival an occasion for social interaction and the promotion of volunteering, in a setting of pure joy.
