About Meditaggiasca

Meditaggiasca is the grand exhibition-market that celebrates the excellent products of the Argentina and Armea valleys, starting with the undisputed queen: the Taggiasca olive. In the historic centre of Taggia, two days of cooking shows, tastings, workshops, a producers' market, and street food tell the story of a territory made of extra virgin olive oil, Moscatello di Taggia wine, and gastronomic traditions. Organised by the Municipality of Taggia and the Chamber of Commerce Riviere di Liguria, it is a continuously growing showcase of flavours, in the heart of the province of Imperia.

The Taggiasca olive takes centre stage

Meditaggiasca & Expo Valle Argentina Armea is the event that promotes the typical products of the Argentina and Armea valleys, in the municipality of Taggia (province of Imperia). The absolute star is the Taggiasca olive and its precious extra virgin olive oil, accompanied by another local excellence, the Moscatello di Taggia.

Two days of taste

The historic centre hosts a rich programme of cooking shows, tastings, workshops, competitions, and a producers' market. There is also a street food corner, with local specialities such as Taggiasca-style fried food, Ceriana sausage, and traditional Ligurian dishes. Among the guests in recent editions were well-known faces such as Luca Pappagallo and Renata Briano.

A showcase for the territory

Organised by the Municipality of Taggia together with the Chamber of Commerce Riviere di Liguria, Meditaggiasca is a showcase dedicated to the excellent productions of the Imperia hinterland. An opportunity to discover a territory where olive oil, wine, and gastronomic traditions tell centuries of peasant culture.
