Four evenings of pizza, street food, and music at the Via Fuccia market area
Marcianise in Pizza, also presented as a Pizza Village, debuted in 2026 as the new summer gastronomic event in the town of Marcianise, in the province of Caserta, Campania. The vision of the organizers, the sports association Essere Magici in partnership with Azzurra Spettacoli, is simple and quintessentially Neapolitan: to place pizza at the heart of a community festival, with dough and tastings by master pizzaiolos as the common thread, and live music setting the stage for every evening.
The choice of venue was no coincidence. The Via Luigi Fuccia market area is a vast, flat space already familiar to locals as the site of the town's regular market. For four days, it was filled with food stalls, lights, rides, and a stage designed to accommodate thousands of visitors. The result is the classic formula of large open-air Campanian festivals, where you dine while strolling between stalls and end the night in front of the stage.
The first edition took place from Thursday, June 18 to Sunday, June 21, 2026, with a different show every night, all with free admission:
Alongside the ovens and pizzeria stalls, the village offered a wide range of street food and attractions designed to keep families entertained until late:
The event also had a charitable dimension: throughout the evenings, support was raised for the Casa Ronald association, which provides housing for families of children receiving hospital treatment.
Speaking of pizza just a few kilometers from Naples and Caserta means touching on a core identity. Campania is the region where pizza was born and where the art of the Neapolitan pizzaiolo is recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Every town in the plains, from Marcianise and beyond, boasts its own historic pizzerias and masters of the dough. An event like Marcianise in Pizza brings this culture out of the pizzerias and back into the public square, in a format that has seen great success across the region in recent years.
Marcianise, after all, is more than just the home of the large commercial hubs of the Caserta plains: it is a center of ancient artisanal tradition, famous for its goldsmithing and a very active community life. The first edition of Marcianise in Pizza fits into this fabric, with the organizing committee already announcing plans to further expand the program in future seasons.
It is an informal, popular evening festival: you arrive at sunset, choose your pizza from the various stalls, browse the markets, and then settle in front of the stage. The audience is diverse, with many families attracted by the rides and the Ferris wheel, and a strong turnout from neighboring towns in the province of Caserta, especially on Saturday night. Since the event is completely free, it is advisable to arrive early on the nights of the most popular concerts to secure a good spot near the stage.
From June 18 to 21, 2026, the Via Luigi Fuccia market area in Marcianise hosted the first edition of Marcianise in Pizza, promoted by the ASD Essere Magici together with Azzurra Spettacoli. Four days entirely dedicated to pizza and street food, with food stalls, handmade craft markets, and a play area with rides and a Ferris wheel for children.
Every evening, the stage hosted a different show, always with free admission: Napolitudine with Sal Esposito and classic Neapolitan songs on Thursday, the Nostalgia 90 format dedicated to nineties hits on Friday, the concert by Gigi Finizio on Saturday — the most anticipated evening of the entire event — and the closing with Ciro Rigione on Sunday.
The initiative combined a gastronomic festival with a charitable purpose, supporting the Casa Ronald association. The organizers announced their intention to expand the program in subsequent editions.
All shows took place in the evening, with free admission. Food stalls and attractions opened in the late afternoon.
Area Mercato di via Luigi Fuccia, 81025 Marcianise (CE), Campania. The space is located in the town's market area, easily accessible by car from Caserta and the northern area of Naples.
From June 18 to 21, 2026, with stalls and attractions opening in the late afternoon and shows scheduled for the evening.
Admission to the village area is free and open to all; all shows and concerts over the four evenings are also free. Only food and drinks at the stalls and the rides in the play area are paid.
For the main concert nights, particularly the Gigi Finizio performance, we recommend arriving early to dine in comfort and find a good spot in front of the stage. Updates on times and any changes are published on the ASD Essere Magici social media channels.
