About Marcianise in Pizza

Marcianise in Pizza is the pizza village that brought the Via Fuccia market area in Marcianise, Caserta, to life for the very first time. From June 18 to 21, 2026, the grounds transformed into a massive open-air space dedicated to pizza and street food, featuring handmade markets, a funfair with rides and a Ferris wheel, and a concert or show every night. Admission was free for all four evenings, with Gigi Finizio as the most anticipated guest of the weekend.

A pizza village in the heart of the Caserta plains

Marcianise in Pizza, also presented as a Pizza Village, debuted in 2026 as the new summer gastronomic event in the town of Marcianise, in the province of Caserta, Campania. The vision of the organizers, the sports association Essere Magici in partnership with Azzurra Spettacoli, is simple and quintessentially Neapolitan: to place pizza at the heart of a community festival, with dough and tastings by master pizzaiolos as the common thread, and live music setting the stage for every evening.

The choice of venue was no coincidence. The Via Luigi Fuccia market area is a vast, flat space already familiar to locals as the site of the town's regular market. For four days, it was filled with food stalls, lights, rides, and a stage designed to accommodate thousands of visitors. The result is the classic formula of large open-air Campanian festivals, where you dine while strolling between stalls and end the night in front of the stage.

The four-evening program

The first edition took place from Thursday, June 18 to Sunday, June 21, 2026, with a different show every night, all with free admission:

  • Thursday, June 18Napolitudine, the musical project led by Sal Esposito, a melodic journey through classic Neapolitan songs and contemporary Parthenopean repertoire.
  • Friday, June 19Nostalgia 90, an evening dedicated to the greatest hits of the nineties, featuring music, entertainment, and dancing.
  • Saturday, June 20 — A concert by Gigi Finizio, one of the most beloved voices in Neapolitan music, performing his most famous tracks: the highlight of the event.
  • Sunday, June 21 — The closing night featuring Ciro Rigione, an artist from the Campanian neomelodic scene.

More than just pizza

Alongside the ovens and pizzeria stalls, the village offered a wide range of street food and attractions designed to keep families entertained until late:

  • a play area with rides and a Ferris wheel;
  • handmade markets featuring artisanal creations and local crafts;
  • dance performances and entertainment between the stalls.

The event also had a charitable dimension: throughout the evenings, support was raised for the Casa Ronald association, which provides housing for families of children receiving hospital treatment.

Marcianise, pizza, and Campania

Speaking of pizza just a few kilometers from Naples and Caserta means touching on a core identity. Campania is the region where pizza was born and where the art of the Neapolitan pizzaiolo is recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Every town in the plains, from Marcianise and beyond, boasts its own historic pizzerias and masters of the dough. An event like Marcianise in Pizza brings this culture out of the pizzerias and back into the public square, in a format that has seen great success across the region in recent years.

Marcianise, after all, is more than just the home of the large commercial hubs of the Caserta plains: it is a center of ancient artisanal tradition, famous for its goldsmithing and a very active community life. The first edition of Marcianise in Pizza fits into this fabric, with the organizing committee already announcing plans to further expand the program in future seasons.

What to expect

It is an informal, popular evening festival: you arrive at sunset, choose your pizza from the various stalls, browse the markets, and then settle in front of the stage. The audience is diverse, with many families attracted by the rides and the Ferris wheel, and a strong turnout from neighboring towns in the province of Caserta, especially on Saturday night. Since the event is completely free, it is advisable to arrive early on the nights of the most popular concerts to secure a good spot near the stage.

Marcianise in Pizza — edition 2026

The first edition of Marcianise in Pizza took place from Thursday, June 18 to Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the Via Fuccia market area in Marcianise (CE). Four evenings with free admission featuring pizza tastings, street food, handmade markets, a play area with rides and a Ferris wheel, and a concert every night: Napolitudine, Nostalgia 90, Gigi Finizio, and Ciro Rigione.

Marcianise in Pizza 2026: the first edition

From June 18 to 21, 2026, the Via Luigi Fuccia market area in Marcianise hosted the first edition of Marcianise in Pizza, promoted by the ASD Essere Magici together with Azzurra Spettacoli. Four days entirely dedicated to pizza and street food, with food stalls, handmade craft markets, and a play area with rides and a Ferris wheel for children.

Every evening, the stage hosted a different show, always with free admission: Napolitudine with Sal Esposito and classic Neapolitan songs on Thursday, the Nostalgia 90 format dedicated to nineties hits on Friday, the concert by Gigi Finizio on Saturday — the most anticipated evening of the entire event — and the closing with Ciro Rigione on Sunday.

The initiative combined a gastronomic festival with a charitable purpose, supporting the Casa Ronald association. The organizers announced their intention to expand the program in subsequent editions.
