About MantovaJazz
Over forty years of jazz
MantovaJazz is one of the longest-running jazz festivals in Italy: born in 1981, it is organized by ARCI Mantova and the Circolo del Jazz Chiozzini, to whom the festival's title is dedicated. Every year, between October and November, it enlivens the autumn of Mantua with a lineup of concerts that alternates jazz legends and protagonists of the international contemporary scene.
The festival venues
The concerts are held in the city's most prestigious halls, particularly the Bibiena Theatre — the 18th-century jewel designed by Antonio Bibiena and visited by the young Mozart — and the Monteverdi Auditorium. Intimate spaces with excellent acoustics, perfect for the intimate dimension of jazz.
A loyal audience
Over the years, MantovaJazz has built up a passionate and loyal audience: the 2025 edition, the forty-fifth, recorded sold-out shows for almost all concerts, with names like Immanuel Wilkins, Danilo Pérez's trio with John Patitucci and Adam Cruz, the duo Gonzalo Rubalcaba & Hamilton De Holanda, and Shai Maestro in piano solo.

MantovaJazz returns in autumn 2026 with its new edition, organized by ARCI Mantova and the Circolo del Jazz Chiozzini. The festival traditionally takes place between October and November, in the halls of the Bibiena Theatre and the Monteverdi Auditorium in Mantua.
