About Malo Carnival

The Malo Carnival is one of the oldest and most famous carnivals in the Veneto region, with over a century of history. Every year, in the municipality of Vicenza province, the grand parades of allegorical floats liven up the historic center, accompanied by equestrian shows in Piazza De Gasperi, musical evenings, cabaret, and plenty of entertainment. A beloved popular tradition, organized by Pro Malo, which attracts thousands of visitors each year.

A historic carnival in the Veneto

The Malo Carnival is one of the most well-known and long-standing carnival events in the Veneto region. It takes place in Malo, a town in the Alto Vicentino area of the province of Vicenza, and with over a hundred editions to its name, it has rightfully earned its place in the region's popular festival heritage.

Parades of allegorical floats

The heart of the festival lies in the grand parades of allegorical floats, authentic works of ephemeral art created by local groups, which traverse the historic center amidst music, masks, and choreography. The parades are held on multiple days, attracting a large audience from across the province.

Shows and tradition

Alongside the parades, the program features equestrian shows in Piazza De Gasperi, music and cabaret evenings at the Rigotti Auditorium, and numerous entertainment initiatives. The event is organized by the Pro Malo Association and offers free admission, reinforcing its nature as a community celebration.
