The dance party in Piazza Martiri that reignites the summer in Comignago
Malamente Live @Comignago S'accende is the musical event that transforms Piazza Martiri into an open-air dance floor. We are in Comignago, a small town in the Province of Novara, nestled at the foot of the hills that rise from Piedmont toward Lake Maggiore: a quiet village that, for one night, lights up with music, lights, and a passion for dancing. The event is part of the local festivities that bring the town to life and, as the name suggests, "ignites" it during the summer season.
The undisputed star of the evening is the MalaMente Dance Tribute Band, a group from Novara formed to revive the dance atmosphere from the 70s to today. Their repertoire spans decades of dance music: from 80s international hits to the most beloved Italian and foreign pop songs, all the way to 90s disco and the latest chart-toppers. Choreography, themed costumes, and overwhelming energy are the hallmarks of a show designed to engage the crowd and keep them dancing until late.
In Comignago, music never travels alone. The evening pairs the live performance with a convivial culinary experience, offering paella, pizza, and street food to the public: a perfect opportunity to dine outdoors in the square and then let yourself be carried away by the rhythm. It is the classic spirit of a Piedmontese village festival, where good food and music create that informal, family-friendly atmosphere that makes everyone feel at home.
If you are looking for a lighthearted, free, and fun evening in the Novara area, this is the place to be. Suitable for all ages, it combines the community spirit typical of small towns with a polished, high-energy musical show. Comignago, with its intimate and welcoming size, is the ideal setting to rediscover the pleasure of an authentic town square festival.
