Walking, Eating, Toasting

There is a special way to experience the Friulian hills: at a slow pace, glass in hand, stopping at each stage to taste a dish and a wine from the region. This is the spirit of the Magnalonga in Savorgnano del Torre, a hamlet of Povoletto, a food and wine walk of about seven kilometers that winds through the vineyards and villages of the Udine foothills. Organized by the Pro Loco Savorgnano del Torre, it is now a well-established event in June.

Seven Stops, Seven Flavors of Friuli

The route includes seven gastronomic stops, each paired with a local wine: a journey into taste that tells the story of Friulian tradition, from cured meats to first courses, to desserts, accompanied by the white and red wines that make this land famous. Walking among the rows of vines, immersed in the hilly landscape with the castle of the Motta and the parish church as a backdrop, is an experience that combines light sport, discovery of the territory, and pleasure of the table.

A Village Festival Open to All

The Magnalonga is above all a community festival, made possible by the work of the Pro Loco volunteers. It is an event suitable for everyone, including families — young children participate for free — and designed to showcase Savorgnano del Torre and its food and wine excellences. For those who want to discover the most authentic Friuli, far from the most crowded destinations, it is a perfect opportunity for a day dedicated to the good life.
