The food and wine walk through the farmhouses, oratories, and villas of Brianza
The Magnalonga is the food and wine walk that every September brings hundreds of participants to discover Besana in Brianza, in the Province of Monza and Brianza, covering a route of about 13 kilometres on foot. It is not a race, but a convivial stroll where the walk is punctuated by gastronomic stops: at each stage, a different course is tasted, in a crescendo that accompanies walkers from start to finish.
The route starts and ends at the park of Villa Filippini and crosses the territory, touching farmhouses, oratories, and picturesque spots in the town. Along the way, there are seven stops: from the welcome aperitif to the Brianza appetizers at Cascina Bressanella, from risotto and cannelloni at the Oratory of Montesiro to the sorbet at Agriturismo Brusignone, from roast pork with polenta at the Oratory of Calรฒ to cheeses and honey at the San Clemente Cultural Centre in Cazzano, ending with dessert and coffee in the park of Villa Filippini.
Organised by the Pro Loco of Besana in Brianza, the Magnalonga is much more than a walk: it is a way to promote the Brianza landscape, its farmhouses, and its gastronomic traditions, in a day that combines light sport, local culture, and conviviality. Registration can be done online or at the Pro Loco office.
The 2026 edition, scheduled for September, will offer the proven formula of the non-competitive food and wine walk. The approximately 13 km route starts from Villa Filippini and winds through farmhouses, oratories, and local spots, with seven gastronomic stops from aperitif to final dessert. The definitive date and route details will be announced by the Pro Loco of Besana in Brianza closer to the event.
The details of the 2026 stops may vary and will be confirmed by the Pro Loco.
