The countryside returns to the city

Once a year, on a Sunday in September, Seregno – a city in the Province of Monza and Brianza – rediscovers its farming roots with the Fiera del Bestiame (Livestock Fair), also known as "La Vecchia Fattoria" (The Old Farm). The event takes place at Parco Madonna della Campagna, on Via Cagnola, and is one of the most anticipated moments of the Festa Popolare Madonna della Campagna, of which it is a part.

A day of animals and tradition

The fair opens in the morning and accompanies visitors until the evening with a programme designed especially for families:

• Inaugural Holy Mass and opening ceremony with city authorities;
• Farm animal stands and farmers in traditional dress;
• The Children's Farm, with colourful vintage tractors, "Crazy Cows" activities, animal grooming, and educational workshops;
• Pony rides and nature workshops;
• Local farm products and country dancing.

A connection to rural culture

The Fiera del Bestiame preserves the most authentic spirit of the Festa Popolare Madonna della Campagna: the connection with the agricultural world that shaped Brianza. Seeing children approach animals, farmers talk about their trades, and vintage tractors parade in the park is an experience that combines education, memory, and fun.
