The Figli delle Stelle theater marathon at the Teatro Comunale in Ospedaletto
Magiche Sere d'Estate is the event through which the Figli delle Stelle APS Theater Association brings all its troupes to the stage at the end of the training season. The event takes place at the Teatro Comunale in Ospedaletto, a small town in the Lower Valsugana area in the province of Trento, and transforms the stage for three consecutive days into a succession of performances, acting showcases, and festive moments.
The festival is the public culmination of an intense workshop program that involves children, teenagers, and adults throughout the year: from the youngest groups to the adult ensembles, each company presents its work to the community. The result is a true theater marathon, described by the organizers as a "marathon of stories, laughter, and generational talent."
The program alternates between original scripts and great classics of the tradition. Featured groups include the Perseveranti, the Prematuri, the Pazzeski, and youth formations such as Piccoli Astri, Piccole Stelle, Piccoli Ospedaloti, and Promesse Ospedalote. The schedule also includes performances by author and director Lorena Guerzoni, a key figure for the company, as well as interpretations of great names in Italian theater, such as the works of Luigi Pirandello.
Beyond the performances, Magiche Sere d'Estate is a moment of gathering for the entire town. During the weekend, the volunteers of the Pro Loco of Ospedaletto set up a refreshment area in the square outside the theater, turning the evening at the theater into an occasion for meeting and conviviality. The initiative confirms the role of the municipal theater as the cultural heart of the town and the bond that unites the company with its territory.
Ospedaletto is located in the Lower Valsugana, along the Brenta valley that connects Trentino to Veneto, an area rich in traditions of popular and amateur theater. The event, hosted in the Municipality of Ospedaletto in Trentino-Alto Adige, is an example of how local associations can keep alive a cultural heritage built on volunteering, passion, and the involvement of multiple generations.
The theater marathon returned to the Teatro Comunale in Ospedaletto from Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 7, 2026, with a packed program of events involving all the companies of the Figli delle Stelle APS Association.
On Friday, June 5 at 8:45 PM, the group Perseveranti debuted with Le Viandanti, an original script by author and director Lorena Guerzoni. On Saturday, June 6, the evening opened at 7:30 PM with the Prematuri performing the Pirandello classic La Giara, followed by a collective presentation with sketches and theatrical vignettes, and at 9:30 PM, the Pazzeski group with I tre papà di Sophie. Sunday, June 7 was dedicated to the youngest performers: at 4:30 PM, the showcase by Piccoli Astri and Piccole Stelle, and at 8:00 PM, the final performance by Piccoli Ospedaloti and Promesse Ospedalote.
On Saturday and Sunday, the Pro Loco of Ospedaletto set up a refreshment area in the theater square.
Ospedaletto is located in the Lower Valsugana (TN), along the SS47 Valsugana road that connects Trento to Bassano del Grappa. By train, it is served by the Valsugana railway line (Trento–Venice), with a station in Grigno and connections throughout the valley. The Teatro Comunale is in the town center, on Via Roma.
Full price 5 euros, reduced 3 euros for children under 12 and members of the Figli delle Stelle APS Association. Tickets can be purchased directly at the theater box office before each performance.
On weekend evenings, a refreshment area managed by the Pro Loco is open in the theater square. It is recommended to arrive early to secure a seat, given the high level of community participation.
