The Macchia Blues Festival was born in 1996 and, edition after edition, has built a solid reputation to become a benchmark for artists, fans, and travellers seeking authentic experiences. All this in a surprising setting: Macchia d'Isernia, a small municipality in the province of Isernia known as "the town of wine and blues," capable of projecting itself onto the international music scene.

The events take place in Largo Elena with free admission, a choice that has made the festival a popular and beloved event, capable of attracting audiences from all over Molise and beyond.

In thirty years, Macchia Blues has hosted numerous artists, establishing itself as one of the longest-running and most distinctive musical events in the region. The festival intertwines a passion for the blues with the territory's wine-making tradition, in dialogue with the town's other major event, the MacchiadiVino market exhibition.

For its thirtieth anniversary, the Macchia Blues Festival pulls off an international coup. The festival takes place on July 18 and 19, 2026, at Largo Elena, with free admission, confirming the formula that made the event famous. The organization promises "a series of events" in addition to the main star: the complete program will be unveiled in the weeks leading up to the festival.

Sunday, July 19
- Fantastic Negrito — three-time Grammy Award winner, an icon of contemporary blues blending soul, punk, and R&B. In Macchia d'Isernia, he performs the only free date of his Italian tour. Largo Elena, free admission.
Saturday, July 18
- Program to be defined: the organization has announced a series of events that will be revealed in the weeks preceding the event.
The full lineup for the thirtieth anniversary will be communicated on the official channels of the Municipality of Macchia d'Isernia.
