A festival in the heart of the Modenese hills

The Luna nel Pozzo - Sagra del Tortellone takes place in Levizzano Rangone, a charming hamlet in the Municipality of Castelvetro di Modena, in the province of Modena (Emilia-Romagna). The small village, dominated by the ancient castle and nestled among the gentle pre-Apennine slopes covered by the vineyards of Lambrusco Grasparossa, provides the backdrop for one of the most popular gastronomic events of the Modenese summer. For about two weeks, straddling the end of June and the beginning of July, the evenings come alive with tables laden with food, the aromas of Emilian cuisine, and music.

The star: Levizzano's tortellone

The true king of the festival is the tortellone, a typical dish of Emilian tradition. The one from Levizzano Rangone is distinguished by its particularly generous size compared to common tortelloni and its classic filling of ricotta and spinach. It is served with different sauces, allowing you to savor it in many variations: with ragù, tomato sauce, or simply with butter and sage. Alongside the tortelloni, the menu offers other local dishes, in a culinary journey that tells the story of the territory.

Music and conviviality every evening

"Luna nel Pozzo" is not just about good food. Every evening, the festival offers live music and DJ sets, transforming the village into a convivial meeting place where you can enjoy Emilian specialties outdoors, in the cool of the hills.
