The great market of vintage and antiques in the heart of Lugo
The Lugo Vintage Festival is one of the most beloved events in the calendar of Lugo, a town in Bassa Romagna in the province of Ravenna, in Emilia-Romagna. Organized by the association Vintage per un giorno (Vintage for a Day), the festival animates the monumental Pavaglione and the entire historic center twice a year (in spring and autumn), transforming them into a large, widespread stage dedicated to vintage culture, antiques, and sustainable fashion.
The heart of the event is the vintage market «Vintage per un giorno»: over 300 selected exhibitors, from all over Italy, set up almost two kilometers of stalls under the arcades of the Pavaglione and along the streets of the center. Among the stalls, you can find vintage clothing, designer accessories, branded bags, vinyl records, old hi-fi systems, antique furniture, toys, and vintage bicycles: a journey through the history of fashion and design, featuring clothing, objects, and memories.
The Lugo Vintage Festival is much more than a market. The program includes themed exhibitions set up in the evocative Pescherie della Rocca (Fish Market of the Fortress), concerts and DJ sets that liven up the squares, themed window displays, workshops, and initiatives dedicated to sustainable fashion and reuse, often involving local schools. Among the main venues are the Pavaglione, Piazza Trisi, Corso Garibaldi, Via Baracca, and the courtyards of the Rocca Estense (Este Fortress).
With over 20,000 visitors per edition, the Lugo Vintage Festival has been listed for four consecutive years by Vogue Italia among the ten best vintage markets in Italy. This achievement testifies to the event's ability to combine a passion for vintage fashion with the enhancement of Lugo's historic center and its Pavaglione, one of Romagna's largest and most spectacular arcaded spaces.
The 40th spring edition of the Lugo Vintage Festival was held on April 11th and 12th, 2026, preceded by a pre-opening on Friday, April 10th. The heart of the event was the vintage market «Vintage per un giorno», with over two kilometers of stalls featuring the best vintage and antiques from all over Italy. With exhibitions, music, design, and retro-gaming, Lugo once again became the vintage capital of Romagna for a weekend, with free admission.
Among the edition's attractions, an exclusive corner dedicated to Valentino, with a curated selection of vintage clothing by the famous designer.
Lugo is easily reached by car from the A14 highway (Lugo exit) and the Via Emilia. By train, Lugo station is served by the Castel Bolognese-Lavezzola line. The historic center and the Pavaglione are entirely pedestrianized during the festival.
The market is generally open from 10 AM to 7 PM. Admission is free.
