About Pontecorvo Agricultural Fair

Every spring, Pontecorvo in the province of Frosinone transforms into the capital of the Lazio primary sector. For three days, the Lower Lazio Agricultural Fair brings together over two hundred companies, featuring state-of-the-art farm machinery, livestock exhibitions, nurseries, dairies, and wine and oil producers. Western gymkhanas, tractor pulling contests, show cooking, workshops for children, and tastings make up a program that drew nearly thirty thousand visitors on Sunday alone in 2026. Free admission.

A fair that tells the story of the Lower Lazio land

The Lower Lazio Agricultural Fair was born in Pontecorvo, in the province of Frosinone, with a clear ambition: to give the primary sector of the Ciociaria region and the Liri Valley a showcase worthy of its economic weight. In just a few editions, the event has become the most popular agricultural appointment in southern Lazio, with over 200 exhibiting companies spread across Via Aldo Moro, Piazza Papa Giovanni, the institutional area, and the Entertainment Arena. The motto chosen by the organizers — "Rooted in the past, looking to the future" — perfectly summarizes the spirit of the event: on one hand, farming heritage, and on the other, the technology that is changing the way we cultivate.

Machinery, drones, and power tests

The heart of the exhibition is dedicated to farm machinery: latest-generation tractors, soil tillage equipment, harvesting vehicles, and assisted driving systems occupy the largest area of the fair. Alongside static displays, there are practical field demonstrations and presentations of drones for precision agriculture, now a daily tool for crop monitoring. The tractor pulling contests are also highly popular, attracting about two thousand spectators to the track during the 2026 edition.

Livestock, horses, and equestrian shows

The livestock section features cattle, buffalo, pigs, sheep, horses, and farm animals, with spaces also dedicated to aquaculture. The Entertainment Arena hosts the richest equestrian program of the event: presentations of the Maremmano Horse, the TPR (Italian Heavy Draft Horse), and the Esperia Pony, carriage driving competitions, stages of the Lazio Regional Western Gymkhana Championship, butteri (Italian cowboys) exhibitions, and the grand equestrian show on Sunday afternoon. The Tatanka theme park, with its Far West atmosphere, completes the offering for families.

Gastronomy and local products

The food and wine trail is one of the main reasons for visiting: stalls featuring dairy products, cured meats, wine, and extra virgin olive oil from the region, along with the famous Pontecorvo PDO pepper, the excellence that has made the town known far beyond regional borders. Every day, the master cheesemaker demonstrates the art of mozzarella making live, while show cooking sessions led by local chefs show how to bring the exhibited products to the table. There are also mycology lessons for schools and technical conferences on workplace safety, the CAP, and rural development.

An event for everyone

The fair is designed for both professionals and families: admission is free, and a children's area with educational workshops allows the little ones to get closer to the agricultural world. The formula has worked: the constant growth in numbers has pushed the organizers to work towards the recognition of a National Fair, a stated goal for the end of 2026.

Pontecorvo and the Liri Valley

Situated between the Aurunci Mountains and the Liri Valley, Pontecorvo is a medieval village that preserves the Cathedral of San Bartolomeo and a perched historic center. The fair, held in April when the Ciociaria countryside is in full bloom, is the ideal opportunity to combine a visit with the discovery of the Frosinone hinterland, including the Abbey of Montecassino, Aquino, and the villages of the Comino Valley.

Pontecorvo Agricultural Fair — edition 2026

The fourth edition of the Lower Lazio Agricultural Fair took place in Pontecorvo from April 10 to 12, 2026, with over 200 exhibiting companies along Via Aldo Moro and connected areas. Three days of farm machinery, livestock exhibitions, Western gymkhanas, tractor pulling contests, show cooking, and tastings of local products. Sunday alone recorded about 30,000 visitors, a record for the event.

Fourth edition: the 2026 record

The 2026 edition of the Lower Lazio Agricultural Fair confirmed the growth of the Pontecorvo event: over 200 companies present, about 2,000 spectators around the tractor pulling contests, and about 30,000 visitors on Sunday alone, with a volume of sales never reached before. Alongside the displays of farm machinery and drones for precision agriculture, the public followed the presentations of the Maremmano Horse, the TPR, and the Esperia Pony, the stage of the Lazio Regional Western Gymkhana Championship, and the grand equestrian show by the Centro Ippico Grasso. The art of mozzarella making demonstrated live by the master cheesemaker, the show cooking, and the stalls of wine, oil, and Pontecorvo PDO pepper were also highly appreciated. Free admission for all three days.
