The heart of Puglia's itinerant music festival, nestled among the trulli of the Itria Valley
Locus Festival is Puglia's premier itinerant music festival. Established in 2005 in Locorotondo, a white-washed village in the Itria Valley in the province of Bari, it is organized by the Bass Culture association. Over the past twenty years, it has grown into an internationally renowned event, bringing major Italian and global music stars to Puglia while keeping its soul firmly rooted in Locorotondo.
The historic venue for the main events is Masseria Ferragnano, an ancient farmhouse nestled in the lush countryside of the Itria Valley, amidst centuries-old olive trees and trulli, far from the coastal noise. It is here, in the heart of summer, that the festival's peak nights are concentrated: a suggestive setting that blends the Puglian rural landscape, an intimate atmosphere, and high-level musical programming.
For its 22nd edition, Locus Festival takes place across Puglia from June 18th to September 2nd, 2026, with its core in Locorotondo from August 7th to 14th: eight consecutive nights at Masseria Ferragnano. The lineup balances musical research with major names, following a theme inspired by Miles Davis on the centenary of his birth. Guests include Mannarino and Ezra Collective, Fulminacci and Daniele Silvestri (their only joint Italian date), Vinicio Capossela, Thundercat, and Subsonica with The Orb, alongside Marco Castello, Jalen Ngonda, I Cani, 2manydjs, Sébastien Tellier, and many others.
Alongside the ticketed concerts at Masseria Ferragnano, the festival enlivens the center of Locorotondo with a rich free program: Piazza Aldo Moro hosts talks and music discussions in collaboration with Radio Capital, the festival's official radio partner, as well as large-screen film screenings. It is a way to experience Locus during the day and involve the entire village.
The Locorotondo leg is the hub of a schedule that in 2026 spans numerous Puglian locations—from Bari's Fiera del Levante to Ostuni, Molfetta, Andria with Castel del Monte, the Grotte di Castellana, and the Egnazia Archaeological Park. Attending Locus in Locorotondo means experiencing great live music while discovering one of Italy's most beautiful villages in the heart of the Puglia Region.
