The summer music festival in Lizzanello, in the heart of Salento
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Lizza Summer Festival is the musical event that defines the summer in Lizzanello, a town in the province of Lecce, in the heart of the Apulian Salento. The festival takes place in the central Piazza della Libertà, which transforms for one or more evenings into an open-air stage where the entire community gathers.
The festival has built its identity on the blend of traditional sounds and modern entertainment. In recent editions, the square has hosted Salento folk music from groups such as Alla Bua and Io Te e Puccia, bringing the pizzica, folk, and world music that define the soul of Salento to the stage. However, there is also a more festive, pop-oriented side: in 2025, the Party Salento Video Show Live arrived, a spectacle that revisits great Italian and international hits from the seventies to today with music videos on a giant screen, vocalists, and dancers.
With free admission and an atmosphere designed for all ages, the Lizza Summer Festival has become one of the most anticipated dates in Lizzanello's summer calendar, alongside the patronal feasts dedicated to Saint Lawrence and Saint Louis Gonzaga. The formula combines live music, entertainment, and conviviality in one of the town's most vibrant squares.
Located just a few kilometers from the provincial capital Lecce, Lizzanello is a small town in southern Puglia that experiences the Salento summer through town festivals, popular traditions, and open-air evenings. Attending the Lizza Summer Festival means immersing yourself in the hospitality and the desire to be together that characterize Salento during the warm season.
The Lizza Summer Festival returns in the summer of 2026 to Piazza della Libertà in Lizzanello (LE). The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been officially announced and the program is not yet available. In continuity with previous editions, the event is expected to confirm the free admission format with live music evenings featuring both traditional Salento folk and pop shows. Updates on dates and artists will be published on the festival's official social media channels.
Lizzanello can be reached by car from Lecce in about 15 minutes via the SP4. The nearest airport is Brindisi-Salento, about 50 km away. The reference train station is Lecce, served by national and regional lines.
The shows are held in Piazza della Libertà, in the center of Lizzanello. Admission is free. Evenings generally begin late (around 9:00 PM).
