LimonCinno – Road to Limoni Fest

A springboard for emerging bands from Modena

LimonCinno – Road to Limoni Fest is the live contest that, in the Municipality of Castelnuovo Rangone, in the province of Modena, focuses on emerging bands under 35 from the area. The initiative was born with a clear objective: to create a concrete bridge between new musical generations and the stage of the Limoni Indie Rock Fest, the summer festival that animates John Lennon Park in the town every year.

How the contest works

Ten finalist bands take the stage at the Circolo ARCI Ex Stazione, performing live in front of the audience and a jury of experts. The competition is not an end in itself: the prize is a prestigious slot, namely the official opening of the Limoni Indie Rock Fest, scheduled for July at John Lennon Park. For a group at the beginning of their career, this is a rare opportunity for visibility and growth, in front of the loyal audience of one of the most followed indie festivals in the lower Modena area.

An evening of music and community

The format combines the tension of the competition with the informal and welcoming atmosphere of the ARCI club: after the bands' performances, the evening continues with a DJ set that accompanies the audience until late at night. The event is free entry and is aimed at both live music enthusiasts and those who want to discover new local talents in a convivial setting.

Who is organizing

LimonCinno is promoted by the Associazione Capanno with the support of the Unione Terre dei Castelli and the Fondo Geco 14, in collaboration with the Municipality of Castelnuovo Rangone. A project that anchors the desire to give space to the local independent scene in Emilia-Romagna, valuing clubs and associative spaces as incubators of live music.
