About Liguria Flavors Boissano

Between late May and early June, Boissano celebrates Ligurian cuisine with the Liguria Flavors Festival. For four evenings, the Sagra Area in Via Marici becomes the realm of Ponente cuisine: trofie al pesto, pansoti, brandacujun, spit-roasted chicken, vegetable pies, and typical desserts like rose semifreddo. Recognized as an Authentic Ligurian Event 2026, the festival combines quality gastronomy, music, and dancing every evening in a popular and welcoming atmosphere. A journey through the dishes of peasant and maritime tradition in the heart of the Savona hinterland.

The Flavors of Liguria on the Table

The Liguria Flavors Festival is one of the most beloved gastronomic events in Boissano, a village in the hinterland of the province of Savona. Between late May and early June, the Pro Loco transforms the Sagra Area in Via Marici into a large open-air kitchen dedicated to the culinary tradition of the Riviera di Ponente, using zero-kilometer ingredients.

A Menu of Pure Ligurian Tradition

The gastronomic program is a journey through the classics of Ligurian cuisine: trofie al pesto, pansoti, torta pasqualina and stuffed vegetables, brandacujun, spit-roasted chicken, fried calamari, snails Ligurian style, up to typical desserts and the curious rose semifreddo, accompanied by Ligurian wines. The stands open every evening from 7 PM, with covered seating.

Music, Culture, and Community

Every evening, from 9 PM, the celebration continues with music and dancing. There is also space for culture: in recent editions, the festival has hosted meetings with authors linked to the territory and Ligurian cuisine. Recognized among the Authentic Ligurian Events 2026, the event is an example of how a small community can enhance its roots.

Boissano and the Riviera di Ponente

Overlooking the hills between Loano and Toirano, Boissano preserves the authentic character of the villages in the Savona hinterland. The Liguria Flavors Festival is the ideal opportunity to discover this less touristy part of Liguria, amidst olive trees, traditions, and a table that tells centuries of peasant and maritime history.
