The scattered festival overlooking the sea of Agrigento
The Light Blue Festival is one of the most original musical events in Sicily, capable of weaving together the Italian independent scene with the Mediterranean landscape of the town of Realmonte, in the province of Agrigento. It is not just a simple concert, but a true scattered festival: a temporary ecosystem spread across multiple locations in the area, transforming the coast overlooking Capo Rossello, just a stone's throw from the famous Scala dei Turchi, into a large open-air stage.
The event unfolds across iconic locations that define its identity. The Teatro Costa Bianca hosts the main stage and evening live shows; the Kainon Belvedere welcomes sunset sessions; the Lido Rossello becomes a listening bar with podcasts and live content. The beating heart is the Villaggio Rossello, a creative hub where the public, artists, and press meet, featuring talks, sports, moments of relaxation, and a camping area dedicated to the festival community.
The Light Blue Festival program highlights both emerging projects and established names from the contemporary scene, spanning indie, electronic, singer-songwriter, and cross-genre influences. The philosophy is one of sharing across genres and generations: alongside evening concerts, the days are marked by daytime activities such as sunset yoga, cinema under the stars, sports, talks, and podcasts.
Born in 2019 with the goal of celebrating culture and music while promoting the province of Agrigento, the festival debuted in Porto Empedocle, attracting over five thousand participants. After the 2021 edition in the setting of the Valley of the Temples and a two-year hiatus, the event has permanently returned to Realmonte, establishing itself as one of the most anticipated appointments of the Sicilian summer. The artistic direction is entrusted to Salvatore Zoppo, and the organization involves the MEI - Meeting degli Indipendenti.
Choosing Realmonte means immersing yourself in one of the most photographed landscapes in Sicily: the white marl cliff of the Scala dei Turchi and the coastline of Capo Rossello provide the natural backdrop for every event. The Light Blue Festival thus aims to make this corner of the Agrigento region a Mediterranean cultural destination, where music dialogues with nature and the local community.
The 5th edition of the Light Blue Festival enlivens Realmonte from July 31 to August 2, 2026, under the theme Nature and Community. The heart of the event is the Villaggio Rossello, a creative hub that welcomes the public and artists, while the program is divided between the Teatro Costa Bianca (main stage), the Kainon Belvedere for sunset sessions, the Lido Rossello with a listening bar and podcasts, the Roman Villa, and the camping area.
The first announced names include Labadessa, Parbleu, Bassolino, Napoli Segreta, Nico Arezzo, Gioia Lucia, Fresh Mula, Svegliaginevra, Arya, Masamasa, Unfauno, Libero Reina, and Gero Riggio, with the addition of Okgiorgio expected in Realmonte on August 2. A line-up that weaves indie, electronic, and singer-songwriter styles, between emerging projects and established acts.
Realmonte is located along the Agrigento coast, about 15 km from Agrigento. By car, it can be reached via the SS115; the nearest train station is in Agrigento, which is connected by local buses. The reference airports are Palermo or Catania.
The festival offers daily tickets and three-day passes, available on online ticketing platforms and the official website. There is a dedicated camping area.
We recommend booking accommodation in the Realmonte and Agrigento area well in advance during the summer season. Bring comfortable shoes for moving between the different locations and sunscreen for daytime activities.
