About Les Étoiles

Les Étoiles is an international dance gala conceived and curated by Daniele Cipriani, bringing the brightest stars of the global ballet scene to the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone in Rome every year. Étoiles from The Royal Ballet in London, the Paris Opéra, the New York City Ballet, and the American Ballet Theatre perform in a succession of solos, pas de deux, and world premieres, blending the great classical repertoire with contemporary creations. An unmissable event for dance lovers in the Capital.

Les Étoiles: the dance gala of stars in Rome

Every year, the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone in Rome becomes the stage for one of the most anticipated events on the international dance scene: Les Étoiles, the dance gala conceived and curated by Daniele Cipriani. On the prestigious stage of the Sala Santa Cecilia, some of the brightest stars of world ballet—dancers with dazzling technique and unique personalities—perform in a program that weaves together virtuoso leaps, moments of poignant lyricism, and famous pieces from both the classical and contemporary repertoire.

A formula acclaimed since 2015

Born in 2015, Les Étoiles first captivated audiences at the Auditorium Conciliazione and, since 2017, has been held annually at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome's Flaminio district. The formula has become a beloved classic for enthusiasts: bringing together on the same stage étoiles from the world's greatest companies—The Royal Ballet in London, the Paris Opéra, the New York City Ballet, and the American Ballet Theatre—and entrusting them with solos, pas de deux, and world premieres ranging from the great 19th-century choreography of Petipa to creations by the most famous contemporary choreographers, from Balanchine to Forsythe.

Excellence in dance in the heart of the Capital

With Les Étoiles, Rome confirms its status as a capital of great dance. The event, produced by Daniele Cipriani Entertainment in collaboration with the Fondazione Musica per Roma, attracts a large and passionate audience every year to the city that serves as the heart of the Lazio region and Italian culture. The setting of the Sala Santa Cecilia, one of the largest and most acoustically refined auditoriums in Europe, offers the étoiles a stage worthy of their talent and provides spectators with an unforgettable experience.

What to expect

  • The most celebrated étoiles and principal dancers from major international companies gathered in a single gala.
  • A program alternating great pas de deux from the classical and romantic repertoire with contemporary creations and world premieres.
  • Virtuoso solos, lyrical moments, and choreography signed by the great names of world dance.
  • Artistic direction by Daniele Cipriani, one of the most authoritative dance impresarios and curators in Italy.

Each edition features a different central theme, which gives unity to the program and makes every evening a unique event. A rare opportunity to admire artists live, in the same evening, who normally perform in the world's most important theaters.

Les Étoiles — edition 2026

The 21st edition of Les Étoiles, titled "The Gala of Love," took place on March 20 and 21, 2026, in the Sala Santa Cecilia of the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. The protagonists were four couples of dancers, partners both on stage and in life, in a program that combined great classical repertoire with contemporary creations, presenting dance as a bridge between different schools, cultures, and sensibilities.

The Gala of Love — 21st Edition

The 2026 edition of Les Étoiles, the twenty-first, chose love as its central theme: four couples of dancers, partners in life as well as on stage, performed in the Sala Santa Cecilia of the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. A universal message entrusted to dance, intended as a bridge between different schools, cultures, and sensibilities, for two evenings curated by Daniele Cipriani that confirmed the event as one of the most anticipated dance appointments in the Capital.

The program ranged from famous 19th and 20th-century pas de deux by Coralli, Perrot, Petipa, and Balanchine, to contemporary creations by Forsythe, Possokhov, Golding, Bernal, and the duo Riva & Repele.
